How the conversion works
To convert a ratio A:B to percentages, first find the total: A + B. Then divide each part by the total and multiply by 100. For a ratio of 3:2, the total is 5. The first part is 3/5 x 100 = 60%, and the second is 2/5 x 100 = 40%. The percentages always sum to 100%.
The same method extends to ratios with three or more parts. A ratio of 1:2:2 has a total of 5, giving 20%, 40%, and 40%.
Part % = (Part / Sum of all parts) x 100
Each part of the ratio as a percentage of the total.
